Great!So I can surmise that Guy Marks did it first, as a comedy routine (because why would he simply perform an already famous song as the total of his act?) and then it was picked up (I recall he killed the audience with it!) by others as a comedy standard.
I suppose Guy Marks is dead now, or very old. He could never have guessed his name and "legacy" would be resurrected toward the close of the century in this manner on a thing called the Internet.
