Genie's third verse in German is by Layriz, 1844. Suzanne has made the corrections; süss or süß and 'aus allem' in line 3. See the German carol site Weihnachstslieder

The English verse three seems to be a translation of Layritz verse 3, but much modified. Possibly by Gracia Grindal. Not located through google.
