Well, I personally would rather spend time with people who can carry on interesting conversations about which they actuallly have some knowledge, who have intellectual curiosity, do research into interesting subjects, and who have respect for academic and intellectual rigour. And who are also happy to freely share the knowledge they've gained, often through many years of painstaking research.

Happily, I am lucky enough to regularly spend time with such people both here at Mudcat and in real life.
