I came from a very poor family, and on an old battery powered radio I used to hear WWVA in Wheeling West by god Virginia, and a few Canadian stations. Being exposed mostly to "Hill billy" music, and Old timey stuff, I was drawn to the guitar. When I was 16, I got a used Gene Autry guitar for Christmas, and, it's been all downhill since. The intonation was impossible, so, I smashed it on the bed post. (fool that I am) I hear they are collectors items now.
