1964 ... Cape Hatteras, NC ... Daddy built a fireworks display on the beach but didn't realize which way the rockets were trained when he lit it ... the "family" jewels almost bit the dust ...

1976 ... Washington, DC ... Bicentennial Fireworks display on the Mall.

1979 ... Portland, OR ... Arrived there to make it my home for the next 12 years.

1998 ... Atlantic Beach, NC ... Family Reunion ... Watched the fireworks display and put on a concert with various cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
