i have had all fords since 1986, mainly trucks, but just bought my first car since 1979, a ford fusion.
all of my trucks have gone at least 200,000 mi. for me, with no major problems. the line up now is...
1999 f-150 4x4 w/ 228,000 on it, best truck i ever owned, now in the hands of my son.
1999 f-250 diesel 4x4 w/ 177,000, for towing my camper, 20mpg empty, 13 mpg towing a 8k trailer, best mpg i know of towing.
1997 expedition 4x4, 230,000, room for 8 and gets 16 mpg. was the wifes, but now one of the daughters.
2008 fusion, 31- 33 mpg on the hwy, rides like a large car, very pleased so far.
2008 chevy malibu, wifes company car, nice, but i like my fusion more.
i keep buying fords because they have been very dependable, more than the toyotas and nissans i had in the early 80's. don't know why some have had their problems with domestic cars, might not be the cars, might be the drivers. i've seen some people treat their cars pretty bad.
