There's a children's book entitled "The Cajun Night Before Christmas" wherein the reindeer are (I think!) flying alligators with appropriate names.

It was newly published when my now-adult kids were young. I haven't seen or thought about it for years, so my memory may be faulty. But, anyone who look sit up will probably be amused.
