Well I can't be sure, although he may have done. Derek Sarjeant used to sing it at Surbiton Folk Club, where Diz was a regular/almost resident, and in fact Diz first got into the folk scene by going round with Derek on his gigs, doing floor spots, and inevitably getting booked. Diz also 'acquired' quite a bit of material from Derek, so it is entirely possible that he would have picked up on this one.
