I made my first bodhran out of a discarded garden riddle decades back! and it still has a pretty good sound to it! I've bought a couple since then but the first is always the best. Last time I looked in the corner of the study there was a 12 string Eros guitar (you can't get them now!), a ukelele, three bodhrans of varying sizes, a concertina (bought for my wife who has never played it), some penny whistles (and they are destructible if you put them in your back trousers pocket and then sit down suddenly!) a digeridoo that certainly called out in a shop, in fact screamed, looking at the colour scheme and the family keyboard which i didn't choose but did pay for.

I'd really like to be able to afford the concert Ovation guitar thats been calling to me from the window of Rose-Martin for some months now
