Every thing that I can recall? Apart from my earlier response... Well it was certainly meant as a spoof of a band concert in the 30's (Sorry Year 2000 compliance means that should read 1930's). The double entendre re Hotel Sheets was probably a wee bit risque for the time. The monologue was fairly long, and as was the custom with the concert band broadcasts of that time, the band name was mentioned (no idea) with a feature vocalist whose name may have been Dicky Henderson. The title was "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas".

Why do I remember it? I've always loved the tunes from that era, it was a fun, nonsense song, plus I actually bought the sheet music. It was the first time I ever saw the chord progression of 7ths that was popular in that period, and that lives on today in a number of folk and blues songs. (Do I still have the score? I haven't tossed out a piece of music in my life, but then again I haven't seen it for years).

And yes It was Guy Marks. As far as being a hit is concerned, I think I may have over-stated its significance somewhat. It got some local radio airplay - I was at school in Ballarat, an Australian provoncial city of around 50,000 people.
