Interesting bit about Romanies.

Folk clubs Have evolved from the coffee houses of the '50s, so a big club booking guests and a group of mates in the corner of a pub are classed as the same. Likewise, old Romany families are grouped with what we call new age travellers.

I used to enjoy singing "Freeborn Man" till certain residents from a traveller site at the end of the industrial estate where I owned a unit broke in and stole tools, computers etc.

Somehow, the song lost some of its edge.
