Well....I like fruitcake. I was brought up on it. My maternal grandmother was a superb cook (especially her cakes, tarts and pies all of which she cooked in a wood stove oven) and made a wonderful boiled fruitcake; everyone in the family had one of Nanna's cakes for their birthday cake.
And now our No 1 son has got himself a lovely girl who is also a superb cake maker - whoo hoo!
