There's been a Pie Breakfast at my TL's uncle's house every year for the last 60+ years- the day after Thanksgiving. Imagine thirty or more participants with at least as many pies.

My father's favorite "birthday cake" was my mother's Clemson Peach pie. Mine is French Silk pie with fresh whipped cream and a scattering of sliced almonds, or Pecan pie. Then there's apple pie, Chesse pie, coconut cream, walnut-oatmeal, apple, apple-cranberry, blueberry-peach, sweet potato, cherry, plum, pear, Mississippi Mud, Shoo-fly (too sweet for me), blackberry, raspberry, elderberry, strawberry tart, and hundreds of other variations on pie. I'd love to try persimmon pie and paw paw pie when our trees begin to bear.
