Thread Name: More Carols on BBC from Sheffield
Subject: More Carols on BBC from Sheffield
This should take you to the repeat of a programme called "The Truth About Carols" broadcast on BBC 2 this evening at 5.00 pm or thereabouts.

It includes lots of folk interest: Bella Hardy singing the Coventry Carol; Rollo Wood; and a prolonged piece from the Blue Ball Worrall where there is a Sunday sing similar to The Royal Hotel @ Dungworth.

The main un-named talking head is Pete Civico (ex-Grenoside and ex-Sheffield City Morris) who can also be seen in an Air New Zealand advert!! Other faces people may recognise included Peter Wood - who has just written a book about the Elliots of Birtley (that's him buying a pint) and Jack Crawford who is on the EFDSS National Exec. and has just put out a record on Wildgoose called "Pride of the Season". Academic researcher Julia Bishop is playing the organ (best known for her work on the Carpenter Collection). Various other people from the Sheffield folk scene.
