PoppaG, you've touched on a key belief of mine- if my hands/fingers get so that I can no longer make chords I will find another instrument that they can handle. I hear people say that they had to quit because of etc, etc - totally unnecessary, imo. There are a myriad of instruments out there that require different skills.
