A belated thanks everyone for the info and advice.

I made my decision and bought an iPod Classic. Much of my decision was based on the size ... very slim, and the quality seems to be there. The one I bought was on sale (still rather $pricey$ though). My son urged me on about the iPod ... then I find out he went the other day and bought a Nano to replace his older iPod .... Hmmmm.
