I love this lullabye and am thankful for the lyrics and information various posters have offered in this thread.

One question, though. Guesat, Mark quoted the Bikel site response to his query as saying,

"The intriguing notion was that Mary, singing a lullaby to the Christ child, would be singing in the language of the land and of the time - Aramaic."

Are the non-English words Aramaic?
