Oi, I was a reporter (when I wasn't organising benefits) throughout the strike, though I didn't feel a "hero" either, just doing what needed to be done.
There's an image that got wide currency at the time of a police officer on horseback at Orgreave raising a baton to a "picket" on the ground.
