I did both the removal of decorations and garden rubbish to the tip/recycling centre today... missed out the loft bit, but that will come soon.

In doing so, I found that my little occasional table which has been on stage with Norma Waterson, Martin Carthy (who left a couple of wineglass stains), Roy Bailey and the great politician and leader of the 'Stop the War coalition' Tony Benn, had been pushed right back into the window, over the radiator. Consequently, it's developed a split down most of its length.. any clues how I can repair it without losing the integrity of the table? I have removed it from the radiator. It's all the fault of this new boiler. When the boiler was replaced they flushed the system and now the dining room radiator actually works for the first time in years...

Mindful of the fact that the neighbours over the back are the only ones I actually talk to over the fence, the new fence is a little lower than the previous one, but has a trellis top to it, so us short people can talk through it to the taller person on the other side! It'll screw with the cats' minds too.... he he he!
