what my 4 year old daughter said to the 2year old daughter not long ago..

since then Ive started saying things like 'he's got a mind as sharp as a raisin'

a few other Anna speech inventions were - when she was two and going outside and looking at the trees moving in the wind.. 'it's Window'

or if raining - 'it's Rain on'

one day we were blowing bubbles outside, and a few days later,
we got her some marbles to play with and she called them 'marbubbles'

the younger daughter Maia has her own quirky language which even the
older one has started to speak - and sometimes translates for her..

ie. dody dad? (story)
   moomi (music) so when they want moomi - it means we have to put on the Queen Ida zydeco record (it has to be Queen Ida) and they
get naky (naked) and dance around (often with balloons).


One wonders if this is how cultures get started..
(2 and 4 year olds copying each other)
