I'm very pleased with the responses I'm receiving to my request. I'm getting a LOT of PM's. When I have absorbed all the information, I'll probably start a new thread as an aid to other archivists.

Last night I opened another box of reel to reel tapes. I can't believe what I found ... almost laughable. I have four tapes, numbers 53 through 56, that have no boxes at all. Probably 30 years ago, I fashioned "boxes" to protect these tapes by cutting up cardboard into a "box shape" and duct taping it together. Crude, but it's held up all these years. The quality of the tapes are just fine. CHEERS and THANKS Bob Nelson
