BUT I did manage to finally find my host brother and some friends when I searched for the right person on facebook. After 38 years. To me it was worth it for that alone!

I have the same name everywhere--I am the only one in the world I think. There IS an advantage to an unusual name.

I enjoy that so many other parents are there at their kids' behest. My youngest just started a group called Buster House AFSers--open to any kid who has stayed with me (Whether AFS or not) It's kind of cool.
