OMG! We did try to save the whole thing back when Mudcat was on real shaky ground, back when the numbering was all goofed up. Please use the little numbers, and to shoot straight to the top, use the little "d" for "descending."

Reading the MOAB is rather like reading an encyclopedia--there is a lot there that is good for you, but just because it is arranged chronologically (or in the case of the encyclopedia, alphabetically) that doesn't mean that there is a logical movement from one item to the next. Unless you've been there for a while and know some of the context. When smart asses visit to cast swine amongst our pearls we assign them the task of reading the MOAB from the very beginning. If they ever return (freds have been known to snatch up that random DNA sample as a tasty snack) they are usually much chastened.

As for venting something that doesn't merit starting a new thread, you might find better placement on BS: News of Note (was 'I Read it. . . ') where we post topical stuff. I started an earlier thread and then this one to cover those little items that need sharing, that may need some venting, but don't merit the establishment of an entire thread. Post a link, please, or a quote from the source so we can all share in your pique or interest.
