good question...we all must learn how to pass our traditions on to the next generation if they are to continue!!

Perhaps performers doing gigs is schools would expose the kids and their teachers to the music.

most of all you have to convince the parents..and grandparents so they
will bring the young'uns to the event...

and for the teen and pre-teens, they might relate to musicians their own age if you have young performers on stage, that could draw them.

Colleges and Universities are good targets for concerts and performances - perhaps some of the festival performers can do a gig
in the days before the fest. by way of promoting the event to these students. Our localfolk society is looking into holding performances on campus outdoors so each passing student could see and here..no walls.
