A month ago, we had more snow than we've had in the seven years I've lived here in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California. We're 45 minutes northeast of Sacramento, at an elevation of 2,300 feet (700 meters), so we actually get some winter here. Today, we're having record WARM temperatures. It's 78o F. outside just now, or about 25o C. The skies are blue and clear, and it seems like Indian Summer instead of January. I'm hoping for more rain and snow - we've had too much drought lately, and that leads to summer wildfires.
But for today, it's perfect. Christina and I took a walk in the woods next door and enjoyed it all.
