Thanks for that Trevor. I think you are right, maybe we've been spoiled in the folk scene by performers who manage to connect with the audience. I agree with you with regard to the lack of interaction at Classical concerts, though I must say I've been to quite a few rock concerts where the artist has engaged in conversation with the audience quite a bit, ie Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney...& likewise with Jazz.

Maybe I'm getting a bit picky in my old age, though I must say I spoke to a couple of young people there at the venue who basically felt the same.
