I like Jeff Beck's music and would go and listen. I genuinely couldn't give a hoot if he spoke all night.

Last thing I saw of his was with Jennifer Batten and I'll go and see her soon as she's playing over here. I'm going to watch her play not listen to her chatting (perhaps she'll go into detail about touring with Michael Jackson and court cases, but I doubt it). Went and saw Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert play fairly recently and can't remember anything they said but do remember the music.

If you haven't been acquainted with Jeff Beck since the Yardbirds I'm sure it all came as a bit of a shock (he probably didn't play a lot of Yardbirds hits) - but I'd guess that anyone who has known what he does since Blow to Blow or Wired would know what they were going to.
