Well, the crud in the front garden has gone. I spent this morning loading it into the car and after lunch I drove it to the tip where you'll be pleased to know that it went into the 'garden' section of the recycling centre (or 'the tip') where it will be mulched down and turned into the compost which they try to sell you on your way out!

The front garden was fairly cluttered with old plant pots that were full of litter, the remains of a rotten old wooden box that had been a raised flower bed and a lot of dead leaves. On top of that I'd put the cuttings and dead leaves from the back garden where I put up the new fence... in all there were 3 car loads of garden crap that went to be recycled.

So... now I have 2 neat rows of plant pots, all tidied and aireated nicely, a clear path (that just needs hosing down) and a litter free garden. Wonder how long that will last?

There is a little bit of rubble left in the back garden but I thought the poor old car deserved a rest - the rubble will fit nicely in the garden bag (an old Ikea bag) and I'll take it in a week or two, but otherwise, it's all done!

It looks a lot better - so much so I may even indulge myself tomorrow and buy a few more primrose plants to brighten up the pots in the front. I'm like that.
