Thread Name: Review: Jeff Beck's Australian Tour

Bugsy, dude - no offence - but if you went along to that Jeff beck gig and found it 'boring as batshit' then you can't actually be a fan of the guy. Which is all fine, but you really can't blow the guy off as 'boring' if you go to his gig but don't actually know his music.

The guy IS rock music history! And his playing (both technique and feel) was some of the most jaw-dropping I've ever witnessed.

Seriously - guy from Washington looking for reviews - I had a smile a mile-wide for the full 90 mins, and then some. The Perth Concert Hall is drab to look at but it's one of the best venues in the southern hemisphere, both for acoustics and viewing, so the move from original venue (and all purpose sports stadium) to a purpose specific venue was a godsend!

The only thing disappointing was that he didn't do Star Cycle and Scatterbrain. On the upside though he did Blue Wind and a couple off Guitarshop that I wasn't expecting and they were mindblowingly good versions.

I was in the 6th row and I literally can't think of a better gig I've been to - JB was THAT good.
