Beer, go to your local library. The reference room should have a set of Scott catalogs for 2008...maybe a couple of 2009s. Check the stamps against catalog value. These prices are a supposed approximate
retail value. If minimum value for a used stamp is 20cents US...but those stamps usually sell for 5 cents (or less in packets). Ignore them. What you want to look for is stamps which have multi-dollar value.

Having done that, google individual Scott stamp numbers (ie Scott Canada #101). If any is for sale anywhere online, this will also be a guide for you.

One other easy resource is Linn's Stamp News which you should find at a stamp dealer or omnibus newsstand. It is a weekly magazine, and often there are for sale lists from dealers.

Many factors, especially condition of the stamps, greatly affect their value to a collector.

If you want a quick sale for the group, you'll get less $$$. But if there is truly a group substantial stamps the time spent may be well worth it.

Sorry you are not closer, if you collection contains a lot of 1950s and 60s material, I might have been interested.

Good luck to you.
