Megan L did accuse Goatfell of being racist, and I just got fed up with yet another barely literate anti English/British rant:

I don't actually think you're a racist, my apologies if you got that impression from my post. Good luck with the SNP - I'm totally in favour of home rule for Scotland and Wales, a United Ireland and England - in the absence of a constructive way forward the English could always thrash themselves with birch twigs until everyone decides they've atoned for their sins to everyone else's satisfaction.

I have a friend who works in the parks department of a small town in Scotland where he is foreman. The men under him call him the 'English C*nt' and refuse to do anything he says, on one occasion telling him to "F*uck off back to Manchester". The management is actually turning a blind eye to this, and he's now looking for another job. Statements like Goatfell's above reinforce the view this might be a majority view north of the border.

Luckily the Scots I know personally are great people. Puts me off going to Aberdeen though.
