THere is a thread somewhere about it but here it is again - from an email from DonT on the 19th January

Hi Folks,

Just to let you know that there will be a combined Birthday Celebration for Don Thompson, Clive Lever, and Kevin Henty taking place on SUNDAY FEBRUARY 8TH 2009.

If you are a friend, enemy, or acquaintance (creditors need not apply) of one or more of the aforementioned hard drinking reprobates, you are cordially invited to come along and partake of the excellent brew, and the pleasures of this social occasion.

The Venue:-    The Greyhound Pub, Wheeler Street, Maidstone, Kent ME14 1UB (Junction with Holland Road).
The Time:-       Noon - Till 10.30pm.
The Day:-         Sunday 8th February 2009

The Other Reason:- For several years, our genial hosts, Peter & Ronnie, have supported us in running folk music and song evenings twice a month. They have been involved in festivals, and have hosted the annual visit of the Gloucestershire Morris men.

Throughout, they have been wonderfully welcoming and have always supplied food for the performers and audience.

Peter & Ronnie are retiring from the licensed trade at the end of February, and the Greyhound is, we understand, to be closed down thereafter. Just one more victim of the economics of our country.

It is our intention to send our hosts into retirement with a celebration they will never forget, and with a sense of just HOW MUCH their kindness and support over the years is appreciated.

Come, if you can, and help us achieve this aim.

One last thing to say. We want NO birthday presents from anyone! Just the pleasure of our friends, their instruments, and their voices.
