Thread Name: Lyr/Chords Req: Would You Like to Learn to Dance
Subject: Lyr/Chords Add: WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN TO DANCE
This is what I’ve got

WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN TO DANCE?
Steve Goodman

Would you (C) like to learn to (G) dance?
(F) (F/E) Well, I can (Dm7) show you that, (Dm7/C) (Am)
Got a book here with (G7) all you need to (C) know.
(E) We can draw the Arthur Murray patterns
(Am) Right here (G/B) on the (F) floor,
(Bb) And all you (F) have to do is (C) follow.
(E) And then we'll dance around the (Am) room a while,
You can (F) lead now if you (G) want to, I don't (C) mind.
(E) Nothin' I wouldn't do
(Am) To (G/B) see your (F) smile
Go (Bb) dancin' 'cross your (F) face in perfect (Am) time,
(Bb) Dancin' 'cross your (F) face in perfect (C) time. (G)

Would you (C) like to learn to (G) sing?
(F) (F/E) Well I can (Dm7) teach you that, (Dm7/C) (Am)
Here's an old tune (G7) that's good for the (C) start.
(E) You can sing all the high parts
(Am) If you (G/B) really (F) try,
(Bb) And I’ll (F) play along the tune on my (G) guitar.
(E) And then we'll sing together for a (Am) little while,
Let the (F) harmony go (G) ringin' in your (C) mind.
(E) And you sing so much better when
(Am) You (G/B) sing with a (F) smile,
(Bb) All the notes come (F) out so sweet and (Am) high,
(Bb) All the notes come (F) out so sweet and (C) high. (G)
- Instrumental first six lines as verse above, last chords (G) (G7) (G6) (G5) -

Would you (C) like to learn to (G) love?
(F) (F/E) Well, that's (Dm7) somethin' else a (Dm7/C) gain, (Am)
I can show you (G7) how to sing and smile (C) and dance.
(E) Oh, I have no keys
(Am) To (G/B) open your (F) heart,
(Bb) And no way that I could (F) make you take the (G) chance.
(E) And so we'll dance around the (Am) room again,
And we'll (F) sing a tune or (G) two to pass the (C) time,
(E) And smile a lot,
And if you (Am) really want to,
We can (Bb) try a little loving, (F) I don’t (Am) mind,
(Bb) Try a little lo (F) ving, I don’t (C) mind,
I don’t (F) mind. (Fm) (G7) (C)
