Funny how my mind has always managed to unconsciously rephrase that as a reference to 'fanny/womb' or something. Never thought of it as a literal reference to anal sex before. Never even thought about it before. I must be a secret prude.

Because of all the fertile imagery in the rest of the Song, I wonder if it *is* a literal reference to anal sex, or just a bi-product of unsatisfactory translation? Anal sex, as a pragmatic form of contraception, somehow doesn't seem to fit the rest of the symbolic imagery - where everything else is begetting and reproducing.
