This house had the most glum drab brown inside the cabinets when I moved in. If you have to take down and wash all of the kitchen stuff, it sounds like a good time to evaluate the collection, and how you arrange it, and maybe repaper the shelves or paint the insides of the cabinets. I think I need to make another pass through the books in here. Or at least rearrange some of the boxes on the shelves dedicated to my Dad's music. I'm looking more directly at those shelves now that I moved my desk. And I need to start scanning and transcribing a lot of the paper in his files. I'd still keep the paper, for posterity, but I could pack it way more efficiently and access the data more easily if it is on disks or a hard drive.
