I had the privelige to meet Matt, along with Jane, on several occasions when we were fortunate enough to have them at Lancaster - either for the Maritime Festival or for the Jacobite Day which we used to stage. Lovely lovely people - Matt was a delight - talented, pithy, very funny - but mostly remembered because he was so nice. I remember seeing him in his full Scottish evening wear and he cut quite a dash. Sadly, in recent years, Jacobite Day was cut altogether and we were forced to reduce the number of performers at the Maritime and we had to forgoe his company. I know that he worked extremely hard and was (rightly) very proud of the events he staged in Stony Stratford. He always signed off his communications to me 'Love and cuddles, Matt'

He was a great man and will be sadly missed by many. Sincere condolences to Jane.
