Chas, that link takes you to the FSGW Newsletter, which is fine, but doesn't tell you much about the Getaway. For just a tiny bit more information, try going to the FSGW website, and clicking on "Getaway." But there's really not much detail available anywhere at this point -- as I mentioned above, the FSGW folks are busy with other events right now, and won't have the registration form or any substantial program information ready until this summer.

You can see last year's program by going here. This gets you last year's Saturday program, and from there you can follow the link at the top to get to Sunday's. The 2009 Getaway program will feature different people and workshops, of course, but there will be lots of similarities, and you can get an idea of the sort of thing we do. If you place your cursor over a workshop title on the grid, you can get a short descriptive blurb of the event. Most of the workshops are very informal, inclusive, and participatory. We also mix in a few half-hour mini-concerts, and an occasional teaching session.

The Getaway Program Committee (me, Carly, and Lorraine) will get together before too long to start thinking about our invited guests for this year, but it's WAY too early for any program details.

The best way for Mudcatters to learn more about the Getaway, as I told MGAS earlier, is to put "Getaway" into the filter box at the top of the forum page, set the time for 2 or 3 years, and prepare for a lot of reading!

We do hope lots of you will consider coming to the Getaway this year -- we always have a wonderful time!

Nancy
