Kat, there is a FreeFile feature available through the IRS this year. I just used it. FINALLY, they have a setup for folks who do the math on paper then want to file free to the IRS. There isn't an income limit.

I did it on paper, I went to the site, it wasn't difficult to set up, I filled in the forms (click "do the math" fairly often and you don't even have to fill in that much stuff.) Easy peasy, and I'll learn in a couple of days whether the IRS accepts it or not. In addition to this year's tax info, it wants your adjusted gross income from last year (as a double blind for checking if you're really you, along with the usual info). You can fill in the bank info for direct deposit, you set up a pin number to substitute for your signature. You fill in your forms, including your W-2.

Now that is a BIG ITEM off of my "to do" and de-clutter list. I can get all of this paper off of my dining room table and computer desk. The weekend is MINE!
