A friend gave me a 2-CD set containing 2 hours of video of a recent concert by our band ShoreGrass. Is there any software out there that someone could recommend to edit this video into short clips and possibly even improve the contrast, color balance, frame composition, etc?

I may even already have something on my desktop or laptop. Can someone point me to a likely editor?

Oh, and did I mention FREE?
