I believe the idea of a ten year truce, from the standpoint of the Gazans, is dependent the occupation ending. I don't think one can point to actions taken at this time as being an indication of whether or not they would honor such a truce once one was actually negotiated and agreed to.
Al-Qaida is another matter entirely. However, the people of Gaza are not accountable for the actions of Al-Qaida, although I have no doubt that there are some who would like to punish them for whatever Al-Qaida does or says, anyway.
