IMO, you dig what you dig, whether it's based on how the music moves you or whether it's just because the people you are with dig it. My 8 year old has discovered Brittany Spears. Does she like that music because she is white? 'cause the music moves her? 'cause she's been well marketed to? 'cause the other kids like it? In this case I have my suspicions.
