As to jurisprudence or legal theory, Keith A's arguemnts run counter th basic "rule of law" theory. The point of this is that all are subject to the rule of law. Our rulers themselves are as subject to the law as we are. No man may assault (or torture) another without legal excuse. Suspicion does not justify assault or detention, and nothing justifies torture.
