LOL Indeed. Whne I first moved up to Scotland I made freinds with a group of scots of which half were Glaswegian. I could just about get by with one to one conversation. However, when they all started, it was impossible to understand.
I remember at one Rangers Celtic match, this small scottish guy, who I didn't know, offering me a drink from his whisky flask. I had already had enough, so I said "No Thank You". At that he thought I was insulting him and he wanted to have a punch up (its always the small ones :-) ). Anyway, I had a wee dram and he was happy again.
Then the time at Celtic's ground, and one of the stands I was in, had half Celtic supporters and half Rangers fans. Anyway, things got pretty heated as one can imagine. the next thing, bottles were flying everywhere. Normal decent businessmen had turned into animals. I don't think I have ever been so frightened in all my life. When we left the ground, I saw my first example of two men supporting another one by holding his arms. they were so pissed, they took one step forward and two steps back. :-) Those were the days. That was in the mid seventies.
