I first went to the Adelphi in 1969 while I was a student at Swansea University.First person I saw playing there was Mike Cooper who I incidentally saw playing yesterday in Hamilton Gardens - he told me about this website. I have many fantastic memories of the club with memorable performances by Jo Ann Kelly, Misissippi Fred McDowall and many more performers, both local and international. too numerous to remember. I was back in Swansea about 5 years ago and wandered down Wind Street - the pub is still there although changed out of all recognition. I wonder when the Club actually closed?
