Thread Name: BS: Birds singing at night
Subject: RE: BS: Birds singing at night
Birds sing in the mating season, and after young are born, after about four to six hours of sleep. Here, this works out to about 3 to 4AM. Still a couple of hours of darkeness. This allows them to imprint their call on the young, or initially call to mates, without attracting predators.

I don't have any "proof" of that. Just seems to be logiacal to me.
