A friend of mine had what I thought was a good answer: "I work 8 hours a day so I have the money to support myself and enjoy the other 16 hours". If you really hate it, try to find something else to do. If it is something you do to put food on the table and clothes on your back, and you are at least neutral about the work, your coworkers and your surroundings, than you are probably a step ahead of most of the rest of humanity.
