Thread Name: Lyr Req: Blaze Away / Mealy Pudding
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Blaze Away (tune, song, and parodies)
I think I can stretch the bawdy version a little more.
We sang as kids in the 60s
All of a sudden a bloody rice pudden came flying through the air,
It missed me ma and hit me pa and knocked him off his chair.
Me granny went crackers and stamped on his knackers and pissed all ovver the wall,
The dog went mad and bit me dad in his one and only ball.

Seems to end in mid air there but I don't think we had any more, or even 'da daed' the rest of the tune.

We also had similar to an earlier line,
Ain't it a pity she's only one titty to feed the baby on.

Another of Sousa's marches similarly treated is the bit in 'Stars and Stripes' or is it 'Liberty Bell'? 'Be kind to your web-footed friends' is used universally on the football and rugby terraces. I suspect the last bit in the previous posting uses this tune as well.
