The problem is the plastic case with CDs. Get simple sleeves, include the cover and back and printed material (sandwich the CD or DVD or whatever) and it'll likely be the size of a heavy letter. The folks at the receiving end can then go purchase their own jewel case or DVD case, assemble the thing and voila. It'll save each of you some bucks--or pounds, etc.
