Subject: RE: Good Intent Kent UK Concert Nights
Bardette: Diminutive female bard. Usually seen wearing diminutive leather skirt whilst beating long dead goatskin
- presumably in order to prepare said goat skin for manufacture of an even smaller leather skirt, or possibly a thong for her mate.
Marionette: Doll that entertains.
Brian: Thinger of thaid thongs, also master of all things with strings attached, such as Bandolins, Mandollars and Violharpers.
Bandolin: Cross between a banjo and a fiddle. Makes an awful noise and is untunable - hence its popularity with Hillbilly musicians.
Also due in part to its pan shaped sound box, which when held under the chin, catches drool and terbaccy spit.
(Not to be confused with Bandoleer, which is a guitar strap adapted to hold extra ammunition for the band.)
Mandollar: Cheap mandolin, so called because it usually costs no more than 95 cents.
Violharper: Fiddle with attachment for holding harmonica.
Popularised by Robert Zimmerman during his "eclectic" phase at the famous Woodstock, Isle of White and Knockholt Festivals.
John Barden: Love child of "Sleepy John Estes"

Need I say more? :-)
