I'm shocked and upset - Malcolm was such a knowledgeable man. The way he contributed to Mudcat (and no doubt humanity too) should be an example to us all. A true gentleman.

To echo Paul Burke's message:

'A huge loss, a massively learned scholar who freely disseminated his knowledge to the benefit of all. A decoration to humanity.'

There really is no-one to replace such a man with such a fount of knowledge.

I will miss his informed contributions.

My very sincere condolences to his family and his friends - and to us all for such a terrible loss.

This really has buggered up my day.
